Senior Manager, Finance Reporting & Management Information Systems
Job description
To manage, plan, coordinate and deliver qualitative and quantitative management information finance reporting to Business, on the Credit performance of the asset book, driving continuous improvement, thus ensuring the achievement of performance targets, delivering the operational risk objectives and accountabilities of functional teams through strategic business and analysis of Credit functions and keeping abreast of global industry trends and risk management requirements.
Bachelor of Financial Accounting, Mathematics/statistics, data science or related
Experience:
5-7 years: The role requires an in-depth exposure and understanding of risk management strategies, polices, processes and performance measurement and analysis. Experience in the collation, aggregation, and analysis of large data.
Key Impact Areas:
- Analyse and interpret data across the business to provide insight on a portfolio level to be used as input by the Heads of Credit and Heads of Product in determining the Risk Appetite position and inform strategic decision making.
- Review and challenge model assumptions, methodologies, and limitations and provide expert oversight of statistical, econometric, machine learning, or optimization models.
- Develop and monitor adherence to the existing Data Management policies and procedures as well as the relevant legislation to ensure that data is handled appropriately, and that data management is compliant to mitigate any risk to the bank and its customers.
- Collaborate with IT and other relevant business units, to provide input into the system design (e.g. GBM model) and architecture requirements as they relate to account management (e.g. forward rolls into various impairment stages), to enhance and optimise systems and decision frameworks in the Bank.
- Co-ordinate, manage and facilitate the enhancement of Bank employees’ Risk Management skill set, to ensure that all front line and sale staff are adequately trained on conduct related to risk and compliance management, professionally and efficiently across the value chain.
