Donegal Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent We are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our growing Estate team based in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a diverse estate operation where no two days are the same. You'll work across a wide variety of construction and development projects, helping to build and maintain staff accommodation, agricultural buildings, estate infrastructure, roadways, drainage systems, and other improvement works across our estate.

The Role As an Excavator Operator, you will play a key role in supporting our construction projects by operating both small and large excavator units safely and efficiently. Working alongside our estate construction team, you will help deliver projects to the highest standards while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities Operate a range of excavators, from mini excavators to larger tracked machines. Carry out excavation, trenching, grading, levelling, drainage, and foundation works. Support the construction of new staff housing, barns, sheds, roads, and other estate developments. Assist with renovation and infrastructure projects across the estate. Carry out daily machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance. Work safely in accordance with company procedures and health and safety legislation. Collaborate with site supervisors and groundworkers to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

About You We're looking for someone who: Has proven experience operating both small and large excavators. Has experience working on construction, civil engineering, agricultural, or estate-based projects. Demonstrates excellent machine control and safe operating practices. Is reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in delivering quality work. Can work independently while also contributing positively within a team. Holds relevant plant operation certification (preferred). Holds a full driving licence (desirable).

As part of our recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide a short video demonstrating their excavator operating skills.
