Donegal Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Grounds Person to join our growing Estate team based in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal.

This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the ongoing development, maintenance, and improvement of our estate. Working across a diverse range of projects, you'll help prepare sites, assist with construction works, maintain estate infrastructure, and ensure our grounds and outdoor areas are kept to a high standard. No two days are the same, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical outdoor work and wants to be part of a busy and professional team.

The Role As a Grounds Person, you will support construction, maintenance, and estate improvement projects across our farming and estate operations. From preparing sites for new staff accommodation and agricultural buildings to repairing existing structures, fencing, drainage, and general estate maintenance, you'll play an important role in keeping our estate operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Prepare construction sites for new builds, extensions, and renovation projects. Carry out general groundworks, including excavation, levelling, drainage, concreting, and site preparation. Assist with the construction of staff accommodation, sheds, barns, roadways, and other estate infrastructure. Support repairs and maintenance to estate buildings, cottages, fences, gates, and outdoor facilities. Carry out fencing, landscaping, drainage, and general estate improvement works. Operate hand tools, power tools, and plant equipment safely and effectively. Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials around the estate. Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas at all times. Work alongside other trades and contractors to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

About You We are looking for someone who: Has previous experience in groundworks, construction, agriculture, landscaping, or estate maintenance. Is practical, reliable, and enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions. Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in completing work to a high standard. Can work effectively as part of a team while also using their own initiative. Has a good understanding of health and safety on construction or agricultural sites. Holds a full driving licence (desirable). Holds plant or machinery tickets such as dumper or mini excavator (advantageous but not essential).
