Job description

To supervise and lead the Automation team within the Digital Automation Centre (DAC), reporting to the Senior Manager DAC and ensuring automation developers deliver reliable, scalable, and business-aligned solutions. The role provides day-to-day technical guidance, delivery coordination, quality assurance, and coaching for team, while working closely with Project Team and automation design specialists to translate business needs into effective automation outcomes. It drives agile ways of working, continuous improvement, documentation discipline, stakeholder communication, and adoption of best practices to strengthen automation capability and operational excellence across the organization.

Scope

  • Supervise the Automation team within DAC, providing day-to-day direction, prioritization, and support to automation developers across senior, experienced, junior, associate, and intern levels.
  • Coordinate automation delivery activities to ensure solutions are delivered on time, meet agreed business requirements, and align with DAC priorities.
  • Provide technical guidance on automation design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance, ensuring solutions are reliable, scalable, and supportable.
  • Work closely with Project Team, automation design specialists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical automation solutions.
  • Champion agile ways of working, including sprint planning, daily follow-ups, progress tracking, retrospectives, and continuous improvement actions.
  • Review automation code, documentation, test results, and release readiness to ensure quality, maintainability, security, and adherence to agreed standards.
  • Monitor automation performance, defects, incidents, and process effectiveness, and drive corrective actions where needed.
  • Maintain clear documentation for automation processes, solution designs, operating procedures, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes through automation, standardization, re-use of components, and better tooling.
  • Coach, onboard, and develop team members through knowledge sharing, peer reviews, feedback, training plans, and skills assessment.
  • Support workload planning, resource allocation, and escalation of risks, dependencies, and delivery issues to the Senior Manager DAC.
  • Foster collaboration across DAC, Project Team, IT, and operational teams to support successful implementation and adoption of automation solutions.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence within the Automation team.

Stakeholders

  • Senior Manager DAC and Head of BPO & DAC for priorities, performance updates, escalations, and alignment with DAC objectives.
  • Automation team members, including senior, experienced, junior, associate, and intern automation developers, for delivery coordination, coaching, and technical guidance.
  • Project Team stream, including Business Analysts and automation design specialists, to clarify requirements, shape solution design, and ensure business needs are translated into effective automation outcomes.
  • Business stakeholders and operational teams across functions to identify automation opportunities, gather feedback, support implementation, and drive adoption.
  • IT, digital, compliance, and support teams where required to ensure secure, stable, maintainable, and integrated automation solutions.• Internal expert networks and cross-functional teams to share best practices, promote standardization, and strengthen automation capability across the organization.   • Provide day-to-day supervision, prioritization, and technical direction to the Automation team within DAC.
  • Coach, onboard, and develop automation developers through feedback, knowledge sharing, skills assessment, and targeted training plans.
  • Allocate and monitor team workload, track progress against delivery commitments, and escalate risks, dependencies, or resource constraints to the Senior Manager DAC.
  • Ensure automation work follows agreed standards for design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, security, and maintainability.
  • Lead quality review activities, including code reviews, solution walkthroughs, release readiness checks, and post-implementation learning.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and continuous-improvement culture that supports innovation, operational excellence, and professional growth within the Automation team.

Requirements for the Job

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience. Certification or practical exposure in automation platforms, scripting, process improvement, agile delivery, or project coordination is an advantage. Expected (Years of) Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in automation development (UiPath, process automation, software delivery, data analytics, or a related digital/technology field, including experience guiding or coordinating technical team members. Proven ability to supervise automation delivery, review solution quality, support agile ways of working, manage stakeholders, resolve delivery issues, and coach developers. Experience with automation tools, scripting languages, documentation standards, testing practices, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred. Strong communication, prioritization, problem-solving, and people development skills are required. Compulsory English. Additional local or business language capability is an advantage where required for stakeholder communication.
