[2025 STUDENT HIRING] Events Team
Job Type: Part-Time
Location: Oshawa/Whitby
Reporting Manager: Operations Manager
Salary: $18.00

Position Summary
This position is for the 2025 academic year and will begin in late August 2025.
The purpose of this position is to assist with DCSA events. This role will also work closely with other staff at DCSA to help host events throughout the year for students on all three campuses. Must be flexible with working hours and meet attendance goals to make all events a success.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Market and promote events, including putting up posters on all campus bulletin boards, distributing flyers for upcoming events, and coming up with other creative ways to engage students.
· Handle all aspects of the organization, setup, and teardown of events, including cleanup at the end of the event.
· Participate in event activities when requested.
· Support student club events when needed.
· Speak and communicate about DCSA, its values, mission, and services.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Must be a FULL-TIME Durham College student in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Learning Outcomes
· Develop marketing and promotional skills by creating and distributing event materials and finding creative ways to engage students.
· Gain experience in event planning, organization, setup, and teardown, including logistics and cleanup.
· Enhance teamwork and communication skills by working with DCSA staff and participating in event activities.
· Build problem-solving abilities by handling various aspects of event management and supporting student club events.
· Improve time management and multitasking skills by managing multiple responsibilities and meeting attendance goals.
· Foster initiative and independent work skills by taking on tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
