[2026 STUDENT HIRING] Oshawa Esports Attendant
Job Type: Part-Time (8-10 hours per week)
Location: Oshawa
Reporting Manager: Operations Manager
Salary: $18.00

Position Summary
This position is for the 2026 academic year and will begin in late August 2026.
This position provides front desk support to the revitalized Oshawa Campus DCSA Esports Lounge.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be on time and ready to work when scheduled
- Monitor the Esports lounge while on duty
- Check out and complete renewals of equipment to participants
- Process payment through POS system when applicable
- Keep the Esports lounge neat and organized
- Assist in maintaining an updated inventory of video games and systems, equipment, and supplies
- Encourage against misconduct within the lounge, provide verbal warnings to students if they are not following the rules of the space
- Creating an inviting and inclusive environment to all students
- Notify the manager of any equipment or repair needs, purchase suggestions
- Attend regular staff meetings
- Keep an accurate record of hours worked and submit timesheet when due
- Planning, implementation, and review of Esports related events
- Other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a currently enrolled full time Durham College student in good standing for the 2026/27 Academic Year (September 2026 – April 2027)
- Knowledge of video games and gaming systems (Console and PC) including their connectivity and capability
- Knowledge of gaming console and basic PC troubleshooting considered an asset
- Ability to speak and communicate about the DCSA, its values, mission, and services and supporting our front office and event team
- Knowledgeable about Discord and its functionality
- Knowledge about streaming and stream setup is considered an asset
- The ability to multitask
- An outgoing personality
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work in a team and independently
- The ability to solve problems
- Availability to occasionally work nights and weeknights
