Job title: Business Development Manager - MICE (12 Months Parental Leave Cover)

Description:

As our Business Development Manager (MICE), you will seek out new business opportunities within the Conference & Events sector, driving revenue with your exceptional expertise. This position is a fixed-term 12-month Parental Leave Cover.

You will develop and nurture strong, sophisticated relationships with corporate clients, generating high-value leads and securing top-tier business for Pullman & Mercure. Your strategic vision and refined approach will highlight the characteristics of our overall hotel rooms, products and services, driving success through unmatched dedication.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving business development and managing accounts within the conference, events and functions sector.
  • Actively promote the area as a destination to boost business for our conference, events and room nights.
  • Taking a proactive and innovative approach to acquiring new conference and events business.
  • Promoting and selling the hotel's products and services, including Food and Beverage.
  • Collaborating with the Sales & Marketing department to establish clear, effective systems for managing new business and its implementation.
  • Maximising long-term returns for the hotel from both new and existing accounts.
  • Working with operational departments to implement systems that ensure outstanding customer service and encourage repeat business from managed accounts.
  • Partnering with the Marketing team to achieve the hotel's overall strategic goals.
  • Exceptional skills in building and maintaining strong relationships with high-profile clients.
  • Advanced negotiation and closing abilities, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
  • Proficient in strategic planning and executing business initiatives tailored to our esteemed hotel.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a polished and professional demeanor.
  • Strong analytical abilities to evaluate market trends and uncover business opportunities.
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to excellence.
  • Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and represent the brand at industry events.
