Job description

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for discovering, defining, and delivering products and

capabilities that create customer value and drive business success. You will work across

product discovery, roadmap definition, and execution to identify opportunities, validate

solutions, and bring new experiences to market.

This Product Manager will play an important role in shaping current and emerging Sports

Product initiatives, including AI-assisted insight generation, conversational analysis

support, report creation experiences, hyper-personalized dashboards, interactive

widgets, platform modernization, data taxonomy evolution, and broader integration of

Nielsen and external data into the Sports Insight Platform.

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Sports Product team and help evolve our products into a more unified, intelligent, and scalable data client experience. This role will support the end-to-end product and data strategy, from data collection and processing through insight generation, product experiences, and delivery, while working closely with engineering, design, data, analysts, commercial teams, and internal users.

As a dynamic, innovative company, we are seeking a passionate and customer-focused Product Manager who can solve hard problems for users, translate strategy into outcomes, and help drive our transition toward a more AI-enabled and AI-first product organization. Our Sports Product direction is centered on a unified platform experience, stronger data foundations, faster delivery, and AI-supported workflows that help clients

get to insights, analysis, and reporting more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Product Discovery and Strategy

● Conduct continuous product discovery to identify customer problems, unmet

needs, and workflow friction across Sports products

● Use customer interviews, market research, usage data, and experimentation to

uncover opportunities and validate direction

● Define clear problem statements and product opportunities that align customer

value, business goals, and technical feasibility

● Translate strategy into product initiatives, measurable outcomes, and iterative

delivery plans

● Contribute to roadmap planning for AI-enabled product experiences and core

platform evolution within Sports Product

AI-Enabled Product Management

● Help define how AI should be applied across Sports products to improve client

workflows, product usability, and speed to insight

● Partner with cross-functional teams to identify high-value use cases for

AI-assisted insights, analysis creation, recommendation experiences, and report

generation

● Ensure AI capabilities are designed as trusted, useful product experiences that

complement and enhance the core platform

● Evaluate opportunities for automation and intelligent assistance that reduce manual

effort while preserving data quality, transparency, and customer trust

Platform and Data Product Accountability

● Own product thinking across the value chain, from upstream data requirements to

downstream customer-facing experiences

● Define and maintain the product logic that connects data collection,

transformation, taxonomy, and presentation into a reliable client experience

● Own the source of truth for how media, sponsorship, and related datasets are

categorized and structured across products

● Define standards, naming conventions, and product requirements that enable data

from multiple sources to fit together in a scalable and consistent way

● Partner with engineering and data teams to ensure product architecture and data

structures support future initiatives, not only current needs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

● Work closely with engineering, design, data, analytics, and commercial

stakeholders to bring products to life

● Clearly communicate product vision, strategy, priorities, tradeoffs, and outcomes

● Align teams around customer problems, roadmap priorities, and delivery goals

● Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, experimentation,

and practical problem solving

● Support decision-making across discovery, delivery, rollout, and iteration

Customer-Centric Product Development

● Develop deep empathy for users and their challenges across rights holders,

brands, analysts, and internal teams

● Advocate for the customer throughout the product development lifecycle

● Continuously gather and incorporate customer feedback into product decisions

● Help shape experiences that make complex sponsorship and media data easier to

access, understand, and act on

● Support the shift from fragmented outputs and offline reporting toward a more

unified product experience

Outcome-Focused Delivery

● Define clear, measurable outcomes for product initiatives

● Develop and track KPIs to evaluate adoption, customer value, operational

efficiency, and business impact

● Use qualitative and quantitative evidence to make informed prioritization decisions

● Partner with teams to test assumptions, measure results, and iterate based on

performance

● Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform and product strategy

Agile and Iterative Execution

● Embrace iterative development practices and empowered product team ways of

working

● Manage product backlog and prioritize initiatives based on user value, business

impact, and strategic fit

● Collaborate with engineering to ensure successful and sustainable delivery

● Support product discovery, prototyping, pilot testing, and phased rollout of new

capabilities

● Help teams move from AI-literate experimentation toward more AI-native product

delivery where appropriate

Continuous Learning and Market Awareness

● Stay current on industry trends, competitive developments, and best practices in

product management, AI, and sports analytics

● Monitor how the market is evolving toward faster, more automated, and more

insight-driven solutions

● Continuously improve product management processes, methodologies, and

collaboration models

● Bring a learning mindset to new technologies, customer needs, and product

opportunities

9+ years of experience in product management

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

● Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

● Experience with agile development methodologies

● Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions

● Passion for creating great user experiences

● Experience working with data products, operational processes, or

workflow-oriented software

● Knowledge of data structures, taxonomy, transformations, and how data design

impacts user experience

● Ability to work effectively with engineering, design, and data teams to define and

deliver product solutions

● Comfort working in an environment that is evolving toward AI-enabled products

and platform modernization

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience with product discovery techniques such as design thinking, lean

startup, and rapid experimentation

● Familiarity with prototyping tools and techniques

● Understanding of technical concepts and ability to communicate effectively with

engineering teams

● Experience in sports, media, sponsorship, analytics, or similar data-rich industries

● Experience with AI-enabled product features, workflow automation, or intelligent

user experiences, data science and LLM

● Experience with data structures, data lake, platform products, dashboards, data

integrations, or self-service analytics
