The Data Governance Manager is responsible for developing and leading enterprise-wide data governance initiatives that ensure high data quality, trust, integrity, accessibility, and security to data across the organization. This role supports the implementation of data catalog, AI context, policies, standards, and stewardship practices in partnership with business and technical stakeholders, contributing to an organization-wide data culture and regulatory compliance. This is an in-person role based at the corporate office in Orlando, FL.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Data Governance Strategy & Leadership - Develop and operationalize an enterprise data governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards. Lead the Data Governance Council and drive the governance roadmap aligned to business priorities.

Data Quality and Stewardship - Partner with business and technical stewards to define ownership, create data quality rules, and implement monitoring and remediation processes. Support master/reference data alignment.

Metadata Management and Data Cataloging - Oversee the creation and management of metadata rich data dictionaries, business glossaries, Governed Catalogs and data marketplace to enhance data discoverability, enable self-service insight generation, trust, security and understanding across systems.

Compliance and Risk Mitigation - Ensure governance efforts support regulatory requirements (e.g., CCPA, HIPAA, SOX) and collaborate with legal/privacy teams to manage risks. This included PII identification and policy enforcement across HICV's data estate.

Change Management and Education - Promote data literacy and governance adoption through training, communications, and advocacy. Act as a liaison between Technology and business functions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in data governance, data management, or a similar field.
  • Strong understanding of data quality, stewardship, metadata, and compliance.
  • Experience leading enterprise data initiatives and engaging with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
  • Proficiency with data lifecycle management and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or DCAM preferred.
  • Solid communication, facilitation, and influence skills across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Experience in cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS) and Salesforce/Mulesoft ecosystems.
  • Preferred: CDMP or DCAM certification.
