Your Job

Hiring Manager : Hicham Chergui Workplace : Anjou (7101 Jean-Talon St. East)

The Demand Manager is primarily accountable for managing and facilitating the intake of all requests for ITS, I&O and IT Security demand management processes. He/She will work collaboratively with others domain liaison to understand and analyze requests needs and develop the implications in demand of resources including financials and resources.

This role is key for developing and managing the processes to work with senior IT stakeholders within established governance forums to ensure that ITS, IS and Security is positioned to support and meet short and long-term business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Act as guardian of demand management process and backlog that is timely while capturing the needs for ITS, I&O and IT Security capabilities and business requests in order to prioritizes work.
• Manages and facilitates the intake planning process, working with senior IT/business leaders and services owners to manage a demand backlog.
• Facilitates high level estimations and prioritization of requests.
• Provide guidance with respect to long term impact of selected portfolio of technologies based on changing supply, demand and business inputs.
• Owns, facilitates and manages the IT demand management processes with IT and business leaders.
• Drives functional alignment sessions and portfolio reviews with IT services owners as input to new opportunities.
• Supports the development of high-level business cases for IT investments to be leveraged as part of the prioritization and processes; provides input from this process to planning cycles.
• Translates outcomes of prioritization activities into executable plans that align to required capacity planning.
• Coordinates post-prioritization hand-offs to be scheduled / dispatched to IT functions and associated service providers.
• Manages the ongoing tracking of activities throughout the year leveraging demand growth and planning assumptions.
• Develops continual improvement opportunities within the demand management processes.
• Ensures the IT demand process is documented

Your Skills

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, Business Administration, Finance or related field
• 8-10 years IT Analysis. IT demand management or IT business relationship management experience
• Good background in business analysis or business process blueprinting
• Extensive experience in multiples areas of IT4IT Model capabilities, what if analysis and management reporting.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Bilingual
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, relationships, schedules and deadlines
• Strong presence with advanced communication, negotiation and conflict management skills, and a solid customer focus
• Highly developed strategic thinking, decision-making, communication, conflict resolution and relationship building skills
