Your Job

We are currently seeking a Budget & Capacity Planning Specialist in IT to join our Governance and Demand Management team who will have an important role in supporting the company’s growth objective.

Work location : Montreal (2020, Robert-Bourassa boulevard) or Anjou (7101 Jean-Talon street East)

Reporting to our Director- Governance and Demand Management, you will be responsible for supporting the finance activities related to the IS&SD function.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Financial analysis and reporting to assist in the management of IS&SD activities
  • Analysis and review of IS&SD projects including strategic benefits
  • Guidance and support in capacity allocations and headcount view
  • Review of budgets vs actual spending, and development of forecasts and projections
  • Preparing accounting entries and monthly reconciliations
  • Support to IS&SD Vice-presidents in managing their budgets and ad hoc analyses
  • Review of existing cost allocation processes

More specifically, you will

  • Actively participate in the annual budgeting process including financial analysis and on-going updates/actuals with presentations to senior management
  • Participate and report on project and operations capacity planning and resource allocations
  • Coordinate and propose improvements for financial activities and processes associated to the management of our Information Technology department
  • Monitor the IS&SD budget: thorough follow up of the IS&SD department’s expense management covering operations and project view
  • Prepare forecasts and month end processes working with PCO’s, portfolio analysts and IT leadership
  • Prepare dashboards and various analyses pertaining to the IS&SD department’s expenses
  • Review the charge allocations to the IS&SD department; provide recommendations to best reflect the financial performance of the different IS&SD department
  • Perform various profitability and financial analyses

Your Skills

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or Finance
  • More than 7 years relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of infrastructure environments, PMO governance and financial reporting
  • Good communications skills; ability to build and maintain business partnershipsProactive and entrepreneurial self starter
  • Detail oriented
  • Bilingual; French and English (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of Hyperion/Smartview, PowerBi (an asset)
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and good understanding of VBA macro
  • Cost accounting background and project portfolio financial reconciliations
