As IT Hardware Asset Management Analyst, you will be responsible for the management of assets lifecycle from purchasing to disposal. Your role will be focused on managing hardware related operations and on enforcing the governance of our assets by implementing process improvements, financial analysis, asset monitoring, inventory reconciliation and audits.
Responsibilities
- Manage in-scope hardware assets through their entire lifecycle : Planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, maintenance and disposal
- Fulfil ordering and purchasing activities: Quotation requests, PO creation, invoice payment, etc.
- Perform asset monitoring activities and keep track of warranties and maintenance agreements.
- Conduct inventory data cleanup, evergreening/decommissioning activities as required.
- Participate in the evaluation of products, service offerings and contracts and oversee day-to-day interactions with vendors to meet business needs.
- Ensure asset database is up to date, accurate and auditable.
- Assist with asset evergreening planning by proactively following and analysing assets’ age, EoL and EoS data.
- Conduct in depth analysis to investigate and resolve discrepancies in order to to maintain integrity and accuracy of asset data.
- Conduct various financial analysis such as forecast vs budget reconciliations.
- Provide effective governance to ensure asset management processes and procedures are effectively being adhered to by internal teams and service partners.
- Actively participate in the creation and optimization of standard operating procedures, processes, guidelines and documentation for all asset management processes.
- Develop analyses and dashboards to automate asset tracking and regular reporting activities.
Your Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware asset management or equivalent IT experience.
- Good working knowledge and understanding of major hardware manufacturers.
- Experience working with users from a customer service perspective.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Result oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingualism, an asset.
- Experience with ITSM tools such as Service Now, BMC, an asset.
- Asset management certification, an asset.
