Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Data Analyst / Engineer (6-8 years of experience) focused on improving workflows, data insights, and business intelligence. In this role, you will analyze large datasets stored in cloud platforms, build data infrastructure, and create actionable insights and visualizations for finance, technology, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• FinOps Platform & Pipeline Development: Partner with Data Engineers to design, implement, and optimize end-to-end cloud pipelines. Build automated data processes for ingesting and transforming large volumes of cloud cost data to produce a cloud cost chargeback dataset.
• Financial Analysis & Forecasting: Integrate Python scripts, SQL, and Power Query to transform big data into actionable insights for monthly actuals analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and journal entries.
• BI Visualization & Reporting: Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI (DAX) to present findings from big data sources (Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake) in a clear way for product and finance management.
• Data Management & Quality: Collect, clean, and organize data from various cloud sources. Implement data quality checks, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with governance and security policies.

Technical Requirements

• SQL & Querying: Advanced SQL and analytical querying skills (Non-Negotiable).
• Cloud & BI Platforms: Expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Explorer, Power BI, and cloud data storage (Azure datasets, AWS S3, Google BigQuery).
• Programming & Tools: Strong knowledge of Python, database management, Power Query, and PowerApps.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret large, complex datasets, perform statistical analysis, and identify trends, patterns, or anomalies.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with the Apptio Platform (Cloudability, Apptio BI, and TBM Studio).
• Awareness of cloud infrastructure performance and cost optimization.
