Job description
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Linux-based infrastructure, including provisioning, patching, and performance tuning.
- Design and implement comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions using metrics collection and log aggregation.
- Resolve incidents and service requests by performing root cause analysis and diagnostics at the OS level.
- Automate operational workflows and monitoring coverage using Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting.
- Maintain containerized and virtualized environments while ensuring security and compliance standards.
- Support problem management by proposing long-term corrective actions based on behavioral data and logs.
Requirements
- 4+ years experience managing Linux-based infrastructure, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux , in large-scale environments.
- 3+ years experience in the design and operation of monitoring solutions, with a strong preference for PRTG .
- 3+ years automation experience with Ansible Automation Platform for playbooks and workflows.
- Practical knowledge of lifecycle management and provisioning using Red Hat Satellite .
- Experience managing Podman or OCI containers within a Red Hat ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or Azure DevOps .
- Professional experience working within ITIL -aligned processes for incident and change management.
- You're proactive, solution-oriented, and willing to participate in standby duties.
- You possess a valid driver's license and own transport.
- You are fluent in English with professional proficiency in Dutch or French .
Nice to Haves
- Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python for automated remediation.
- Knowledge of VMware virtualization and NetApp storage systems.
- Experience with security tools such as Trend Micro Deep Security or ClamAV .
- Familiarity with network platforms including Palo Alto , Check Point , F5 , or InfoBlox .
