Python Developer

Our client, a top-tier hedge fund, is seeking a talented Python Software Engineer to join the Engineering team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust trading applications that facilitate trading strategies in the commodities market.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with trading, research, and data teams to create essential analytics for a commodities trading operation based in Singapore.
• Identify business challenges and implement technical and quantitative solutions.
• Analyze large datasets and develop trading analytics tools to enhance decision-making.
• Incorporate data insights into financial models and investment strategies.
• Lead enhancements to our advanced technology platform, ensuring scalable and efficient solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Strong academic background with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience is also acceptable.
• Proficient in Python with experience in multiple languages being a plus.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in Software Engineering, particularly with complex, multi-site system architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Unix operating systems and familiarity with various database technologies.
• Previous exposure to commodity markets is advantageous, along with a drive to thrive in a collaborative environment.
