Job Opportunity: Engineer (Reinforced Concrete Structures)
The position is for an Engineer (Reinforced Concrete Structures) within a prominent Hong Kong-based main contractor renowned for delivering high-profile building, civil, and infrastructure projects since the mid-1950s, including major railway extensions, station developments, and large-scale public works.
This role, managed through 3C RGH ( www.3crgh.com ), focused on construction and engineering talent across Hong Kong and internationally, requires a competent engineer to take responsibility for the reinforced concrete works of a ventilation building structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the reinforced concrete (RC) structural works for the ventilation building, including design review, detailing, and execution.
- Review structural design packages and prepare.
- Coordinate working drawings and interface closely with rebar fixing, formwork, and other subcontractors.
- Ensure full compliance with Buildings Department submission requirements, the Code of Practice for Structural Use of Concrete, and CS2 standards for reinforcement bars.
- Perform on-site quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) inspections and technical submissions.
- Support the project team in progress monitoring, risk identification, and coordination with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in reinforced concrete works on Hong Kong construction projects.
- Solid knowledge of rebar detailing and RC execution, ideally in building or infrastructure developments.
- HKID (Permanent Residency of Hong Kong)
- Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills; MHKIE not mandatory.
