Job description

  • Examine incoming supplies, parts, and machinery in comparison to purchase specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Check supplier records, inspection reports, calibration certificates, and certificates of conformance.
  • Recognize non-conforming materials, record them, and place them in quarantine.
  • To address quality concerns, collaborate with internal departments and suppliers.
  • Keep precise records of incoming inspections.
  • Conduct regular inspections during the processes of fabrication, assembly, and maintenance.
  • Verify that approved work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality procedures are followed when assembling and testing products.
  • Defects should be reported, looked into, and corrected with the appropriate departments.
  • Before shipping, do a final inspection.
  • Before releasing, make sure all customer specifications and quality standards are fulfilled.
  • Keep track of quality reports, checklists, inspection records, and QA/QC paperwork.
  • Encourage the Quality Management System (QMS) to be implemented and continuously improved.
  • Take part in internal audits and help with external audits, like ISO 9001.
  • Keep an eye on the test and inspection equipment's calibration status.
  • File Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

Requirements

  • A technical certificate or diploma in quality management or a similar discipline.
  • At least two to five years of experience conducting QA/QC inspections in the manufacturing and marine sectors.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other quality management systems.
  • Understanding of measuring devices, calibration procedures, and inspection tools.
  • The capacity to read technical specifications, assembly instructions, and engineering drawings.
  • A dedication to quality and ongoing development.
  • The capacity to prioritize several inspection tasks in a hectic setting.
