UPPAC Investigator/Prosecutor

FT / PT Status – Full-Time Salary – $$39.23 - $$58.92 Hourly Wage Remote Work / In-Office – Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

Are you an attorney looking for an opportunity to improve public education? Are you interested in professional ethics and helping provide a safe classroom environment for Utah School children? Consider applying to work with the Utah Professional Practices Advisory Commission where you work on the front lines to prevent misconduct by Utah educators.

Principal Duties

As a UPPAC attorney, you will

  • Investigate educator misconduct.
  • Prosecute educator misconduct in administrative proceedings.
  • Train Utah educators on Utah's educator standards and professionalism.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate

The Ideal Candidate is someone who

  • Is a law school graduate.
  • Is licensed to practice law in the State of Utah.
  • Has experience teaching or working with K-12 school age students.

About the Role

Location – 250 East 500 South Salt Lake City, Utah, 84111 United States Background Check Required – You must successfully pass a criminal history check. Drug Test Required – No Schedule Code – AE - Employees of the State Board of Edu. This is a career service exempt at will position.
