Financial Controller

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to lead Hub Australia’s finance function and provide the governance, structure, and technical expertise that underpin our national operations.

Reporting directly to the Co-CEOs, this role will oversee financial reporting, compliance, audit, treasury, finance operations, and internal controls across a growing multi-site portfolio. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring Hub operates with strong financial discipline while providing executive leadership and the Board with accurate, timely, and well-governed financial insights.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys balancing technical excellence with commercial oversight, team leadership, and continuous improvement.

What your day-to-day will look like (but not limited to!):

• Lead Hub’s financial reporting function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity across all entities and reporting obligations
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, balance sheet management, and technical accounting matters including revenue recognition and lease accounting
• Manage finance operations including AR, AP, cash flow, debtor management, and working capital optimisation
• Drive governance, risk management, internal controls, and compliance across tax, audit, and statutory obligations
• Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, Board reporting, and strategic financial decision-making
• Lead relationships with auditors, landlord partners, external advisors, and key financial stakeholders
• Develop and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Is CA or CPA qualified with 5-7+ years’ experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role
• Brings strong technical accounting expertise across financial reporting, compliance, and governance
• Has experience leading finance operations in a multi-site or property-related business environment
• Is commercially minded with strong capability across budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight
• Communicates confidently with executives, Boards, auditors, and non-finance stakeholders
• Has a proactive, solutions-focused leadership style with strong attention to detail and accountability
• Understands how to build scalable finance processes and drive operational improvement in growing businesses
