Be in IT is a recruitment company, specialised in sourcing Specialists from the information technology world. Currently, for our client, we are looking for someone in the position GCP Data Migration Architect.
Your duties
- Leading large-scale migrations to BigQuery in the role of a GCP Data Architect.
- Creating and executing end-to-end migration strategies for Cloud Database environments and Data Lake solutions.
- Optimizing complex workloads using advanced SQL tuning.
- Practical utilization of Databricks and DataProc tools in assigned tasks.
- Supporting initiatives within the Data Streaming SIG.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in IT and data.
- Extensive experience as a GCP Data Architect, with a specific focus on leading large-scale migrations to BigQuery.
- Deep expertise in legacy environments - Teradata knowledge is a mandatory requirement.
- Proven track record in Cloud Database, Data Lake, and end-to-end data migration strategies.
- Programming proficiency in Java or Python.
- Fluency in advanced SQL tuning.
- Experience with Oracle / Exadata systems is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel within the EU (approx. 1-2 times every two months).
- Knowledge of the Italian language is strongly preferred.
- English language skills at B2 or C1 level - enabling fluent communication in an international environment.
- Immediate availability (ASAP) is highly preferred; a maximum of one month's notice period, effective at the end of the month, is acceptable.
Offer
- Long-term cooperation with a salary in the range of 40 - 50 EUR net/hour + VAT.
- Support in setting up and running a B2B business (sole proprietorship) for individuals without such experience.
- Efficient and fast recruitment process - one, maximum two technical online interviews with managers (up to one hour each).
- Working hours between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with slight flexibility possible.
- Fully remote cooperation except for business travel within the EU (approx. 1-2 times every two months).
