Actuarial Analyst role within the Warsaw Actuarial CoE team is a key analytical position responsible for review of Solvency II, VNB and IFRS17 Assumptions, data analysis, and risk assessment. The role involves working with large data sets and providing insights that drive decision-making. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of actuarial calculations and reports under Solvency II and IFRS17 basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Expense unitization process, deriving expense assumptions and analysis in format required for valuation models.
- Review Best Estimate assumptions, prepare documentation and properly implement assumption updates within valuation model.
- Conduct various types of analysis regarding demographic or economic assumptions, including audit queries.
- Closely cooperate with other actuarial teams including Experience Studies team and local Product teams.
- Continuously develop technical skills as well as use of actuarial software and statistical methods.
Required
- At least bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, quantitative methods in economics or similar.
- Minimum 2-year experience in life actuarial field, with a strong record of success.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
Preferred
- Actuarial qualifications or progress towards obtaining actuarial license.
- Working knowledge of Prophet or other actuarial software/modelling system.
- Prior actuarial experience in life insurance product pricing, financial reporting or experience studies teams.
- Programming knowledge (Python, SQL) is an advantage.
Organizational Information and Working Rules
- Work in our company is based on a hybrid model – 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely per week.
