EOI - Scheme Design Advisor – Policy Officer ( Regulatory Strategy & Stewardship | Scheme Design | Workers Compensation & Health)
- Grade : 7/8
- Duration : 20 July 2026 to 20 July 2027 (inclusive)
- Location : Sydney / Gosford
We have an exciting EOI opportunity for someone wanting to gain experience in the Health Projects team as a Scheme Design Advisor to work on a range of complex policy initiatives in the NSW workers compensation scheme. The Health Projects team leads the development and delivery of initiatives that strengthen the sustainability, efficiency and value of health services within the NSW personal injury insurance schemes.

Your responsibilities will include
- Provide scheme design and policy advice both internally and externally on issues relevant to the NSW workers compensation scheme.
- Consult with external stakeholders to inform and develop scheme design policy initiatives.
- Manage projects and initiatives on issues relevant to workers compensation.
- Collaborate with workers compensation, personal injury and work health and safety professionals from NSW and other jurisdictions.
- Undertake research and collate information for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to contribute to the achievement of scheme design outcomes

- Experience in policy health development and analysis
- Analytical thinker who can think outside the box to solve complex problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A team player who can contribute towards a constructive working environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and demonstrate initiative

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $116,981 base plus superannuation
