Job description

• Process Coordination & Compliance: Streamlining and overseeing outsourced accounting processes while ensuring full compliance with local rules, corporate guidelines, and internal control policies .
• Team Leadership: Supervising, coaching, and motivating a small internal team of accounting staff to meet operational targets, and conducting regular performance appraisals .

Controlling, Budgeting & Forecasting: Managing the budgeting and rolling forecast processes, updating monthly FTE forecasts, and delivering financial/non-financial metrics to support strategic management decisions .

• Financial Reporting & Closing: Overseeing the monthly closing of company books, validating entries (provisions, adjustments), and ensuring accurate, timely reporting of balance sheets and P&L statements .
• Financial & Tax Oversight: Validating payroll calculations, overseeing tax returns with a strict 4-eyes principle, and optimizing day-to-day cash and working capital management .
• Stakeholder Management: Acting as a primary interface for internal management, cross-functional teams (HR, IT), and external partners such as auditors, payroll companies, and tax authorities .

Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (experience as a trained chartered accountant is an advantage) .
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in finance and/or controlling .
• Excellent command of both Hungarian and English, both in writing and verbally .
• Strong analytical skills, high accuracy, integrity, and a quality-focused mindset .
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building capabilities .
• Proven ability to respect deadlines and organize tasks effectively .
