Job description
Our client is an independent 5-star luxury boutique resort located in the heart of Seminyak. They are seeking an experienced Director of Sales to lead the property's sales strategy, drive revenue growth across key market segments (especially the USA & Europe markets), and strengthen the resort's position within the luxury hospitality market.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Director of Sales or in a senior sales leadership role within a 5-star luxury hotel or resort.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. • Solid track record of achieving yearly sales KPI in an internationally recognised luxury hospitality brand.
- Extensive knowledge of the luxury travel market, including leisure, wholesale, corporate, MICE, and travel trade segments.
- Well-established network within the hospitality and travel industry, particularly in Indonesia and key international source markets.
- Demonstrated success in achieving revenue targets and developing high-performing sales strategies.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and market analysis.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop sales professionals.
- Outstanding negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong understanding of revenue management principles and collaboration with marketing and revenue teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the property's sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share objectives.
- Lead and manage the sales team, ensuring high performance through coaching, mentoring, and clear performance targets.
- Identify new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with key accounts, wholesalers, corporate clients, and partners. • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel partners, and industry stakeholders to generate long-term business.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, and business development activities in local and international markets.
- Work closely with the Revenue, Marketing, and Operations teams to maximize revenue opportunities and optimize business performance.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and demand patterns to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports while ensuring achievement of established KPIs.
- Represent the property at trade shows, networking events, and industry exhibitions to strengthen brand presence and expand market reach.
- Ensure all sales activities align with the property's luxury positioning and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
